Jacob Soboroff stars in "School Pride" on NBC as one of the experts who help communities completely transform their own schools.

Jacob Soboroff is the founding correspondent of AMC News. He hosts all news coverage on AMC including Opening Night and AMC News Specials, reporting from film festivals, movie premieres, award shows and conferences. In addition to his duties with AMC, Jacob serves as executive director of Why Tuesday?, a non-partisan group working to increase voter participation. Before joining AMC, Jacob contributed to "NPR Weekend Edition" and to the PBS series "Wired Science," a production of KCET Los Angeles and Wired magazine.

A politico-turned-entertainment correspondent, Jacob has conducted on-camera interviews with a diverse group of "influentials," from Barack Obama, John McCain, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, to Brad Pitt, George Lucas, and Woody Allen. He has been recognized with multiple Webby Award nominations, the Film Your Issue Award, and with a Los Angeles Press Club National Entertainment Journalist Award for best news story.

During college, Jacob was an advance man to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and presidential candidate Howard Dean. A Los Angeles native, Jacob holds a BA in Politics and an MA in Political Theory and Philosophy from New York University.
