Jaime Camil stars in "Jane the Virgin" on The CW as Rogelio, a famous telenovela actor, who gets unexpected news from his former high school sweetheart.

Born in Mexico City, Mexico, Jaime Camil always had an interest in music and performing. After earning his license in business, he decided to make his hobby a career. Camil studied opera and theater for some time before making his mark as a stage, television and film actor.

Camil has had numerous roles on television series such as "Devious Maids" and the Televisa hit "Por Ella Soy Eva." He can currently be seen on the rom-com novela "Qué Pobres Tan Ricos" on Univision. Camil's film roles include the critically praised bilingual comedy "Pulling Strings," and he starred opposite Shirley MacLaine in "Elsa & Fred."

Camil, along with his wife and daughter, currently splits his time between Los Angeles and Mexico City
