During his audition, Massone told a story about how a group of his friends were all gunned down after a fight broke out while they were practicing in a recording studio back in 2005. "A kid decided to take out any witnesses, so he left no one alive," he says. Massone's brother was supposed to be there but thankfully wasn't. The tragedy motivated Massone to carry on their shared dream and share his voice with the world.

Wonder, but the 23 year old also brings more contemporary vibes. He hopes to break the chain of working for the family business — an auto body shop that has been in the family for 60 years — and showcase his musical talents to the judges and to the nation.
