Jason Gray-Stanford was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Jason Gray-Stanford received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre at the University of British Columbia, one of Canada's most prestigious schools. Gray-Stanford is probably best known for his work in the Academy Award winning film "A Beautiful Mind" directed by Ron Howard and starring Russell Crowe. Jason Gray-Stanford previously co-starred with Crowe in "Mystery, Alaska" written by David E. Kelly and directed by Jay Roach. Other notable film credits include the acclaimed Canadian feature "Last Wedding" and "The Heist." Jason Gray-Stanford also was seen in Clint Eastwood's critically acclaimed hit, "Flags of Our Fathers." Jason Gray-Stanford can currently be seen in the period piece "Lonely Hearts" with John Travolta and Salma Hayek.
On television, Jason Gray-Stanford has appeared in numerous U.S. and Canadian series including the award winning Canadian series "Cold Squad," "The X Files" and most recently as Howard Bowen in the Emmy Award-winning miniseries "Taken," produced by Steven Spielberg.
Jason Gray-Stanford is an accomplished stage actor appearing in a variety of stage productions across Canada such as "Hamlet," Thornton Wilder's "The Happy Journey," "Medea," "Romeo and Juliet" and "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" by Tom Stoppard. Jason Gray-Stanford is also a sought-after voice performer with credits that range from the voice of Donatello in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series to several classic Japanese anime projects including "Fatal Fury," "Dragon Ball Z" and "Ronin Warriors." Jason Gray-Stanford is also the voice of Sherlock Holmes for Scottish Television's series "Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century."
