Jenn Suhr is an athlete competing in track and field at the 2012 London Summer Olympics for the USA. She is a medal contender in the women's pole vault. After winning silver in Beijing four years ago, Suhr has her eyes set on winning a second-ever gold medal in the event for the U.S.

After an Achilles injury forced Suhr to withdraw from the 2009 World Outdoor Championships, she competed sparingly in 2010 but still managed to win the USA Outoor Championships with 4.89m/16-0½ – the world leader for 2010. She continued the comeback in 2011, winning the USA Indoor Championships and setting an American record in the process. After finishing as the runner-up at the USA Outdoor Championships, Suhr took fourth at the World Outdoor Championships in Daegu. Her victories in the Diamond League meets in London and Zurich helped her earn a No. 1 world ranking for 2011 from Track & Field News.

It was a stellar year for Suhr in 2008. She first claimed the silver medal at the World Indoor Championships before setting two American records, first at the adidas Track Classic and then in winning the Olympic trials. Suhr went on to win a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing. It was her first appearance at a Games and she had only been competing internationally for three years.

In just a few short years, Suhr has become the reigning American queen of the pole vault, and she now threatens to become the best in the world. She set two American records early in 2007, including becoming the first American to clear 16 feet with her jump of 4.88m/16-0 of at the Reebok Grand Prix. In 2007, she posted seven victories in major meets, including her second straight victory at the U.S. Outdoor Championships. Suhr placed 10th at the World Championships.

Suhr started the 2006 indoor season with a bang, setting personal bests at nearly every meet and becoming the No. 2 American all time, behind only Stacy Dragila, with her clearance of 4.68m/15-4¼ at the Reebok Grand Prix.

Prior to taking up the pole vault, Suhr was a standout basketball player for Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, N.Y. She averaged 24.3 points and 6.7 rebounds a game for Roberts Wesleyan in 2003-04, taking her team to the NAIA national championship game. She graduated as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,819 points.

Suhr won the New York state pentathlon title as a senior at Fredonia High School. That versatility was also put on display at Roberts Wesleyan, where she holds school records in the javelin, high jump, 400m hurdles and as a member of the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. In 2005, she won the NAIA indoor national title in the pole vault with a 4.00/13-1½ clearance, and also placed in the 55m hurdles and high jump.

In 2009, Stuczynski married her coach Rick Suhr. They currently live and train in New York.
