Jennifer Bartels is one of the comedians featured in truTV's sketch comedy series "Friends of the People."

Jennifer Bartels is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and is a graduate of East Carolina University with a BFA in Professional Theatre, Meisner concentration. She began studying at United Citizens Brigade in 2006 and has studied under the teachings of Tara Copeland, Joe Wengert, Chris Gethard, Jason Mantzoukas, and Michael Delaney. As a past member of the Harold community on such teams as Twelve Thousand Dollars, BANGS, and Scootch and the Raw Harold, Jennifer recently performed on Maude Night with the sketch group Gramps.

Credits include "ESPN Mayne Street," Landline TV's "Obamatourage," "Raise the Rate," and various commercials and promos for things that people may want. She was also featured as the NY Daily News Top 5 funny ladies of NYC.
