Jennifer Ferrin stars in "Hell on Wheels" on AMC as Louise Ellison.

Ferrin also recently starred in Syfy's original movie "Rewind" as Bryce, a brilliant scientist who graduated from MIT when she was 18. The smartest person in the room, Bryce is obsessive, driven and doesn't really care what people think of her.

In addition, Ferrin recently played a recurring role in FOX's "The Following," starred in NBC's "The Cape" as Dana Faraday, and appeared in the feature film, "Sex and the City 2," starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.

Jennifer Ferrin attended The College of Charleston in South Carolina and then the North Carolina School of Arts, where she graduated in 2003 with a degree in drama. Shortly before her graduation, Jennifer and other seniors were given the opportunity to do a presentation for industry representatives in New York. She came out with a three-year contract with the CBS daytime drama, "As the World Turns" and began shooting the role of Jennifer Munson just ten days after graduation. Ferrin garnered two Daytime Emmy nominations for her work on the show.

In 2002 she appeared in the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, "The Locket." Jennifer Ferrin also appeared on the TV show "Dawson's Creek" in the episode "Swan Song."

Her theater credits include "The Crucible," "Undiscovered Country," "Company," "Nicolas Nickleby" and "Yerma." She also appeared in "Hamlet" and "The Times." 2005 found her doing voiceover work in "Marion Bridge." In 2006 she appeared in "Language of Angels" at the Clark Studio Theater which is part of the Lincoln Center Institute for the arts in education.

She hosted the 2006 Miss Connecticut USA and the 2006 Miss Connecticut Teen USA pageants. She also appeared in the "Daytime at Night" benefit for Workshop Theater Company.

Jennifer's work has started to earn her well deserved recognition. In 2005 she received a Daytime Emmy nomination in the Best Young Actress category. 2006 brought her a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her superb work in the exit story on "As the World Turns" has brought her high praise from the soap press, cast mates and the fans.

When Jennifer's contract was up at "As the World Turns," she chose not to renew it. She wanted to explore other genres of acting including theater, primetime television and movies.

In 2006 Jennifer had a guest appearance on two episodes of "Rescue Me," the popular show on the FX network. Jennifer also appeared in the drama "3 lbs." on CBS in 2006. In 2007 Jennifer was seen in the Spike TV miniseries "The Kill Point."

In 2007, Jennifer returned to the stage in "Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps" at the Huntington Theatre in Boston. In January 2008, the show transferred to Broadway, becoming a big hit. The show won two 2008 Drama Desk Awards and was nominated for 6 Tony Awards. Jennifer left the show in October 2008 and went on to play a recurring role on the ABC drama "Life on Mars." She has also made guest appearances on primetime shows, including "Royal Pains," "The Good Wife," "Unforgettable," "Boardwalk Empire," "Fringe," "Law & Order: SVU," "Fringe," "White Collar" and "Nurse Jackie."
