Jere Burns can be seen in Walt Disney Pictures' "Prom," as Principal Dunnan, alongside a large ensemble cast that includes Aimee Teegarden, Thomas McDonell, Nicholas Braun, Danielle Campbell, Nolan Sotillo, Kylie Bunbury, DeVaughn Nixon, Cameron Monaghan, Yin Chang, Jared Kusnitz, Janelle Ortiz, Joe Adler and Jonathan Keltz.

Jere Burns is a popular actor, with a career spanning film, television and theater. He most frequently plays slimy, morally ambiguous characters, starting with his recurring role as a pathological rapist on "Hill Street Blues." He has recurred on many other shows, including "Max Headroom," "Bob," "All of Us" and "Boston Legal."

Recently, Burns appeared in multi-episode arcs on two critically acclaimed series: FX's "Justified" and AMC's "Breaking Bad." Whereas "Justified" found Burns embodying another villain, in this case a sadistic and violent loan shark, "Breaking Bad' cast him against type, with Burns appearing as a recovery counselor trying to help Aaron Paul's Jesse overcome his addictions.

Burns is perhaps most well known for his series regular roles as Kirk Morris on "Dear John" and Jack Farrell on "Something So Right." He also played major roles on the shows "Good Morning, Miami" and "Surviving Suburbia." He has also guest-starred on many shows, including ""CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Trust Me," "The King of Queens," "Will & Grace," "Psych" and many, many more.

He has appeared on Broadway multiple times as well, with credits that include "Hairspray" and "After the Night and the Music."

Burns is an athlete and enjoys extreme skiing, snowboarding and wakeboarding. He has also competed in both marathons and triathlons. He is a graduate of the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
