Jeremy Northam stars in "Miami Medical" on CBS as Dr. Matthew Proctor.
Jeremy Northam studied at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School after graduating from London University in 1984. He worked in regional theatre and television before spending two years at both the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Northam made his U.S. film debut in "The Net," opposite Sandra Bullock. He followed that up with lead roles in the feature films "Emma," "Gosford Park" and "An Ideal Husband."
