Jill Eikenberry stars in "Something Borrowed," opposite Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson, as Bridget Thaler.

Jill Eikenberry is an American actress with a career spanning forty years. She remains most well known for playing the leading role of Ann Kelsey on the long-running, smash hit series "L.A. Law."

Throughout the early-to-mid 1970s Eikenberry focused on the theater, building up a strong reputation with roles in "The Beggar's Opera," "Lotta," "All Over Town," (her Broadway bow), "Summer Brave" and "Saints." Films began to come her way in the late seventies, starting with "Rush It" and "Between the Lines." She and her husband Michael Tucker are frequent collaborators, and they each played roles in both Lina Wertmüller's "A Night Full of Rain" and the social drama "An Unmarried Woman," starring Oscar-nominee Jill Clayburgh.

Other film credits over the years include "The Manhattan Project," "Hide in Plain Sight," "Rich Kids," "An Unmarried Woman," and "Butch and Sundance: The Early Years." Her breakthrough film performance was in the classic comedy "Arthur," in which she played Susan, the ever-patient but passive-aggressive fiancée to Dudley Moore's titular millionaire.

Her role on "L.A. Law," produced by Steven Bochco, lasted for eight years and earned her a Golden Globe statute and several Emmy nominations. Her husband Michael was also on the show, as tax specialist Stuart Markowtiz. Art imitated life when their respective characters wound up marrying one another on the series.

In recent years, Elkenberry has appeared in a wide range of television movies and played guest roles on numerous shows, including "Judging Amy," "Strong Medicine," "Numb3rs" and "Law & Order."
