Joel Fry stars in NBC's dramedy series "Apocalypse."

British actor Joel Fry was named one of the "Bright Young Things: The Best New Talent in the Arts for 2014" by the Independent. He recently played the recurring role of Hizdahr zo Loraq in HBO's fantasy drama series "Game of Thrones."

On UK television, he starred in several comedies, including ITV's British Comedy Award-winning "Plebs" and "White Van Man," Sky's "Trollied" and BBC's "Massive," as well as the BBC miniseries drama "Public Enemies." He also had recurring roles in Sky's "No Signal" and BBC's "Twenty Twelve," "The Impressions Show with Culshaw and Stephenson" and long-running crime drama "The Bill." Guest appearances include "Death in Paradise," "Bedlam," "The Wrong Door" and "Casualty."

On the big screen, Fry made his debut in Roland Emmerich's "10,000 B.C." Other film credits include Stephen Frears' "Tamara Drewe" with Gemma Arterton and Luke Evans, "Rock & Roll F*ck 'n' Lovely," and "Svengali," starring Martin Freeman.

Onstage, Fry has performed in "Public Enemy" and "Doctor Faustus" at the Young Vic, "Wuthering Heights" at Theatre Royal York, "As You Like It" at Stoke New Vic, and "Romeo and Juliet" with The Lost Theatre Company.

Fry trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
