John Stahl stars in "Game of Thrones" on HBO as Richard Karstark.

John Stahl recently appeared in Rapture Theatre's tour of "Uncle Varick," directed by Michael Emans. As a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) he had roles in "Hamlet," "As You Like It," "All's Well That Ends Well," "King John," "Richard III" and "A Soldier in Every Son - An Aztec Trilogy." He appeared in "Much Ado About Nothing," directed by Jeremy Herrin, and "The Globe Mysteries," directed by Deborah Bruce, both at Shakespeare's Globe.

Other recent theater credits include "Frankenstein," directed by Danny Boyle at the National Theatre; "Memory Cells" at The Pleasance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; "The Gods Weep" for The RSC at Hampstead Theatre; "The Whisky Taster" at The Bush; "The Frontline," "Troilus and Cressida," "We the People" and "Othello," all at Shakespeare's Globe; "Macbeth" at the Royal Exchange Manchester; "Ghosts" at the Bristol Old Vic; "Mary Stuart" for the National Theatre of Scotland; Dominic Cooke's "The Crucible" for the RSC in the West End; "The Alice Trilogy" at the Royal Court Theare and "Blue Eyes and Heels" at the Soho Theatre.

On television, Stahl has been seen in "Holby City," "Being Human," "Rebus," "Glasgow Kiss" for the BBC, "Murder Rooms: Mysteries of the Real Sherlock Holmes," and the miniseries "Resort to Murder." In Scotland, he is perhaps best known for playing Tom "Inverdarroch" Kerr in the soap opera "High Road." Most recently, he was seen in "Darien Venture" and "Doctors," both for the BBC.
