debut, followed by 2003's multi-platinum "Closer," featuring the smash hit "You Raise Me Up," and 2006's double-platinum "Awake." In 2007, the Grammy-nominated star became the best-selling recording artist of the year, thanks to sales of "Awake" and his blockbuster, Grammy-nominated Christmas album, "Noel," the best-selling album of 2007.

Although his background is rooted in music, Groban is no stranger to the world of comedy. While in high school, Groban was the youngest member of L.A. Connection, a local comedy troupe in the vein of The Groundlings and Second City. As his musical career took off, Groban was inspired by artists who can cross from one medium to another.

In 2008, Groban showed his lighter side by performing a comic medley of well-known TV theme songs at the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. He also joined the likes of Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, and Harrison Ford in Jimmy Kimmel's hilarious video spoof "I'm F***ing Ben Affleck." Groban has been featured on "The Simpsons," performed on Adult Swim's "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" and made two guest-starring appearances on Fox's hit show "Glee." Groban released his fifth album, "Illuminations," at the end of 2010, which he recorded with noted producer Rick Rubin. He recently embarked on his worldwide Straight to You tour.
