Judah Friedlander plays the wisecracking writer Frank on NBC's Emmy Award-winning "30 Rock," a workplace comedy where the workplace exists behind-the-scenes of a live variety show.

Judah Friedlander is a comedian and an actor. Judah Friedlander has been doing stand-up comedy since 1989. He's a comic's comic and a crowd-pleaser. On stage, he is "The World Champion." Friedlander is a great athlete, master of the martial arts, hooks up with lots of chicks and is a role model to children.

makes and writes all the sayings on the hats that he wears on "30 Rock." He has starred in over 25 feature films and he is known for completely transforming himself into different characters. In 2004, Friedlander was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as the genuine nerd Toby Radloff in "American Splendor." Friedlander was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2004 Independent Spirit Awards for his role as Radloff, and The New York Times Magazine crowned him as one of the best actors of 2004. "American Splendor" won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival, the International Film Critics' Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, was named the best film of the year by Newsweek magazine & the National Society of Film Critcs, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Screenplay, and was on over 200 critics top 10 lists.

Friedlander won Best Supporting Actor at the 2005 Bend Film Festival for his role as Anthony Roskowski opposite David Schwimmer in the indie film "Duane Hopwood." Movie audiences first got to know Friedlander as the "Pharmacy Clerk" who tries to sell Ben Stiller "a whole bunch of Mumm's" (a line he ad-libbed) in "Meet the Parents." He also had a supporting role in Darren Aronofsky's "The Wrestler." Judah Friedlander appeared in several films in 2008, including a lead role in "Full Grown Men"; supporting roles in "Chapter 27" with Jared Leto and "Meet Dave" with Eddie Murphy; as well as cameos in "Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds" & "Cabin Fever 2." Friedlander most recently provided the voice for a tourist in "Rio," alongside Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, Jemaine Clement, Leslie Mann, Tracy Morgan, will.i.am and Rodrigo Santoro.

Friedlander's other film credits include "Wet Hot American Summer," "Along Came Polly," "Starsky & Hutch," "Showtime," "Zoolander," "The Darwin Awards," "Date Movie," "Full Grown Men," "The Cassidy Kids," "Feast," "Live Free or Die," "Southern Belles" and "The Unseen."

In addition to his stand-up comedy television appearances, Friedlander has appeared in many television shows, including "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and is regularly featured on VH1's "Best Week Ever." His other television credits include "Spin City" and appearances on NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly," "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson." Friedlander also is widely known as "The Hug Guy," after starring as a very friendly pedestrian in the No. 1 Dave Matthews Band music video for their hit single, "Everyday." He, along with the "30 Rock" cast, received a Screen Actor's Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2008.

Friedlander is working on a stand-up comedy album, a concert movie and his own film project, tentatively titled "World Champion." Despite his busy "30 Rock" production schedule, He continues to tour the country with his stand-up comedy act. Friedlander lives in New York.
