Karen Robinson stars in "King" on ReelzChannel as Ingrid Evans.

Canadian actress Karen Robinson has been seen in a variety of feature films and television series, including "Saving Hope," "Ghett'a Life," "Lars and the Real Girl," "The Border," "Killshot," "The Line," "Slings and Arrows," "Against the Ropes," "Owning Mahoney," "Soul Food" and "The Gospel According to the Blues," for which she was nominated for a Gemini Award. In addition, she is known for playing the mother of Dennis Rodman in the TV movie "Bad as I Wanna Be: The Dennis Rodman Story."

Robinson was nominated for the Black Film and Video Festival's Reel Black Awards for Best Actress her work in the short film, "Short Hymn, Silent War."

On the Canadian stage, Robinson has had such roles as Prospera in "The Tempest" (Canadian Stage), Condoleezza Rice in "Stuff Happens" (Studio 180/Mirvish), Pauline/Selma in "Eternal Hydra" (Crow's Theatre), for which she received a Dora nomination, and Mrs. Muller in "Doubt - A Parable" (Citadel Theatre), for which she earned a Sterling Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has also performed in "Romeo and Juliet" and "Saint Carmen of the Main," both at the National Arts Centre, "'da Kink in my Hair," for which she won a NAACP Award for Best Ensemble, and Andrew Moodie's "Riot," which garnered her a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Best Actress.

Robinson studied theater at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta.
