Kat Kloosterhuis from "Game of Stones," aka Kat Florence, stars in the Discovery Channel reality docu-series.

Kat Kloosterhuis is Don Kogen's right-hand woman who handles the logistics at his company, Gem Guys, Inc. From visas, passports, schedules, airplanes, choppers, boats, trains and cars, Kat helps pave the way and sets the team up to win with seamless approaches and successful getaways.

Kat is a jewelry designer who has always been inspired by literature, music, art and design. Her jewelry reflects her eclectic background as a global traveler living in America, Canada, Australia and Thailand; every piece she creates embodies the culture and environments she has experienced.

Initially following her family's passion for science, Kat studied biology and psychology, eventually obtaining a Masters in Education. Drawn to creatively expressing herself through her work, Kat took a position at an art-based international school in Asia.

While working and traveling, Kat began to develop her interest in jewelry design. Exploring and learning the trade Kat studied under Dutch contemporary jewelry designer Bastiaan Stor and UK based designer Debbie Cavill. The two mentors offered a wealth of knowledge from their decades of experience in the jewelry industry. Through Cavill, Kat was put in contact with renowned gem hunter Don Kogen. Kogen, always on the lookout for the unique and inspiring, was immediately impressed with Kats creativity, drive and ability to stand with the boys. Kat, eager to create jewelry with the rarest gemstones, recognized quickly the benefits to working with the Gem Guys and also the uniqueness of the job. "Working with Don and the boys is like no other job I have had. It is more of a lifestyle choice really. I put in the endless hours and sleepless nights, but in turn I have touched and seen stones that only great collectors would recognize."

Kat's style of jewelry design is timeless, radiating a romantic passion for life: "I believe the jewelry we wear reflects the passion we feel inside us, our identity and desire to be pulled in a specific direction". Her affinity and understanding of the inherent intimacy of the gemstones and precious metals she works with is much of what makes her jewelry so uniquely compelling.
