Kelvin Yu stars in Netflix's original comedy series "Master of None."

Kelvin Yu was seen in Matt Reeves' hit feature film "Cloverfield," and was then directed by that film's producer J.J. Abrams in the reboot of "Star Trek" (2009). Other film credits include "TiMER," starring Emma Caulfield, Gus Van Sant's "Milk," starring Sean Penn, Josh Brolin and Emile Hirsch, Cameron Crowe's "Elizabethtown," starring Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst, and Nicholaus Goossen's "Grandma's Boy" with Linda Cardellini.

Yu has made recurring and guest appearances on a number of television series, including "Satisfaction," "NCIS," "Common Law," "Dallas," "Torchwood: Miracle Day," "Hawaii Five-0," "Traffic Light," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "The Forgotten," "Bones," "CSI: NY," "Ghost Whisperer," "Dirty Sexy Money," "Burn Notice," "The Closer," "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," "Las Vegas," "Gilmore Girls," "ER," "The Shield," "Felicity" and "Popular."

A native of Los Angeles, Yu attended UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television and was in the pre-Broadway workshop of "Flower Drum Song" for David Henry Hwang. Yu continues to write and direct his own short films and plays.
