Kent Faulcon stars in "Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse" on TBS as Richard.

A working actor who appears regularly in leading and supporting television and film roles, Kent Faulcon has worked with such actors and directors as Steven Spielberg, Will Smith, Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney, Kevin Costner and Spike Lee. Faulcon recently made his directorial debut with "Sister's Keepers," an action drama about a hardened assassin assigned to kill a beautiful teacher. He also wrote, produced and stars in the film.

Faulcon is a versatile and classically trained Shakespearean actor who has been seen in memorable films like "War of the Worlds," "Men in Black" and "Die Hard: With a Vengeance." In 2004 he starred as a smart and dogged New York lawyer who jeopardizes his own life to return to a Louisiana bayou to solve the hate-motivated murder of a childhood friend in "Strange Fruit."

Also a familiar face on stage and the small screen, Faulcon has had recurring roles in "Days of Our Lives," Showtime's "Soul Food," "Charmed" and "Joan of Arcadia" and has made guest appearances in "Bones," "24," "CSI: Miami," "NCIS," "Criminal Minds," "Shark," "Desperate Housewives," "Boston Legal," "Lincoln Heights" and "Girlfriends."

His stage credits include playing Orlando in the L.A. Shakespeare Festival's "As You Like It" and Don Pedro in "Much Ado About Nothing" at the John Ford Amphitheatre under the direction of Tony Plana ("Ugly Betty").

Faulcon has always found writing and directing to be complementary to his work as an actor. Before "Sister's Keeper," he produced, directed, wrote and starred in several short films including "Whitelin,e" "Love on Ave. A" and "Karma." In addition, his one-act play "Eleventh Hour of the Dinosaur" was featured as a staged reading at Playwrights' Horizons in New York City where he was a member of the theater's African-American Writers Unit.

Faulcon is the recipient of the Young Georgian Playwright Award and a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts. His production company, Offset Filmworks, is based in Los Angeles.
