Kimberly Caldwell is the host of Oxygen's reality tattoo artist competition series "Best Ink."
Kimberly Caldwell is a singer, actress, and television personality who gained national recognition during her time on the second season of the television phenomenon, "American Idol," and is also known for her work as an entertainment correspondent and host for the TV Guide Network.
While on "American Idol," Kimberly was an instant fan favorite, finishing among the top finalists competing for the title.
Kimberly was soon picked up by TV Guide Network to be their "American Idol" correspondent for the show's third season and quickly found herself a staple on the network, co-hosting the weekly "Reality Chat" and hosting various specials and covering a wide variety of awards shows from the red carpet for the network including the Grammy's, the Academy Awards, the People's Choice Awards, the Emmy's, and the Golden Globes. During "Idol" season, she continues to co-host "Idol Wrap" and "Idol Tonight," the exclusive pre-show to "American Idol" on Wednesdays, for the network.
In addition to hosting for the TV Guide Network, Kimberly has also frequently appeared on a variety of other programs as a special "Idol" correspondent including "Glenn Beck," "MSNBC News Live," "Showbiz Tonight," "Rita Cosby," and "Fox News Live."
Caldwell also hosted VH1's "Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp" and MTV's reality competition "P. Diddy's Starmaker." Her other recent television appearances include "You're Cut Off," "100 Greatest Artists of All Time," "When I Was 17," and "Undateable," all on VH1, as well as "LA Ink" on TLC, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "Rachael Ray," and the "American Idol" Season 9 finale on FOX.
Kimberly made her acting debut in the feature film, "Wrong Turn 2." She continues to pursue this side of entertainment and recently filmed a miniseries where she will appear opposite John Schneider ("Dukes of Hazzard").
Kimberly was also the brand ambassador of the Fall 2009 YMI Jeanswear campaign and was seen on billboards and in magazine advertisements for the brand beginning in June 2009.
Kimberly's first love continues to be music and she recently signed with Vanguard and Capitol Records in 2009. Her debut album, "Without Regret," was released in April 2011. She also continues to make personal appearances and perform live at various events across the country.
