Kimrie Lewis-Davis stars in "Great News" on NBC as Portia.

Kimrie Lewis-Davis derives much of her comedy perspective from her experiences growing up in the storied South Central neighborhood of Los Angeles. She performs at comedy clubs and colleges across the country. She is a regular on the "Pretty Funny Women" comedy show and has featured for Craig Robinson, Tom Green, Roy Wood Jr. and Pauly Shore. Lewis-Davis also writes and performs sketch comedy at iO West on the sketch team Brute Squad.

On television, she has had recurring roles in ABC's "Scandal" and ABC Family's "Chasing Life." Guest appearances include "The Detour," "The Neighbors," "New Girl" and "Go On." She also played Mike Epps' girlfriend in the HBO pilot for "The Unsuccessful Thug."

On the big screen, Lewis-Davis had her breakout role in "Tyler Perry Presents: Peeples," starring Craig Robinson, Kerry Washington and David Alan Grier. Lewis-Davis was also seen in "State of Play," starring Ben Affleck and Rachel MacAdams.

Lewis-Davis received her B.A. from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. While there, she was invited to study at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England, where she studied classical theater.
