From deep in the heart of Texas comes a 13th season of FOX's half-hour animated comedy "King of the Hill." The series has received numerous accolades over the past 13 years, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program. "King of the Hill" has garnered several award nominations and was hailed as the Best Television Show of the Year after its debut by TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly and TIME Magazine. "King of the Hill" is translated into numerous languages, and is licensed in almost 50 countries around the world.
"King of the Hill," celebrating a 250th episode milestone, portrays the life of Hank Hill (Mike Judge), his family and their neighbors in the fictional suburb of Arlen, Texas. A hard-working, loyal family man and proud Texan, Hank is assistant manager of Strickland Propane. He's a blue-collar man of all trades who sees himself as the voice of common sense and reason in a world of incompetent sales clerks, meddling bureaucrats and do-good liberals.
On "King of the Hill," Hank's better half is his wife, Peggy (Kathy Najimy). Peggy sees herself as a woman of many talents: realtor, substitute Spanish teacher, fast-pitch softball hurler, local Boggle champion and notary public. Hank and Peggy's pride and joy is their 13-year-old son, Bobby (Pamela Adlon). The family is completed by Hank's 18-year-old niece, Luanne (Brittany Murphy), who is currently with child and married to Lucky (Tom Petty).
On "King of the Hill," Hank can often be found around around a barbeque with his beer guzzling neighborhood buddies, Dale (Johnny Hardwick), Bill (Stephen Root) and Boomhauer (Judge). Dale's an exterminator who never met a conspiracy he didn't like, Bill's a lonely-hearted Army barber with low self-esteem, and Boomhauer is a cool, rockabilly, muscle-car-driving ladies' man who speaks unintelligible English.
In the upcoming 13th season of "King of the Hill," Luanne and Lucky have a baby; Hank has an uplifting experience under the knife; Peggy is crushed when she realizes she's no longer cool; and Hank learns that his boss Buck Strickland (Stephen Root) has an illegitimate son.
In addition to the regular cast, "King of the Hill" has featured special guest voice appearances by the likes of Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew McConaughey, Meryl Streep, Bernie Mac, Reese Witherspoon, Pamela Anderson, Willie Nelson, Sally Field, Jason Bateman, Renée Zellweger, Johnny Knoxville, No Doubt and the Dixie Chicks.
Mike Judge and Greg Daniels are co-creators/executive producers and John Altschuler, Dave Krinsky, Jim Dauterive, Garland Testa, Howard Klein and Michael Rotenberg are executive producers for "King of the Hill," which is a 20th Century Fox Television Production in association with Deedle-Dee Productions, Judgemental Films and 3 Arts Entertainment.
