Landon Clements was born in St. Simons Island, Georgia. She is the oldest of three obstinate daughters who were raised to love and appreciate beach life. The girls attended school in Atlanta and then Landon went to The College of Charleston where she studied art and historic preservation. While there, Landon met Shep Rose and have been great friends ever since.
After spending a few semesters roaming Italy to sample the wine and architecture, she found herself in Telluride, Colorado. In the mountains she skied and worked part time for an interior designer who was working with Ralph Lauren Home. Those projects made her fall in love with interior design and in the hopes of making a career out of it, she moved to Los Angeles. In California she took a job with SBE and Philippe Starck as they developed hotels, restaurants, and nightclubs all over the city and then eventually expanding nationally.
During this time she met a self-proclaimed "James Bond Brit." The international man of not much mystery swept her off her feet and they married in Charleston. The demands of their careers compounded with the responsibility for his actress ex-wife and young daughter became too much for the pair and they separated. After the divorce, Landon spent a winter in Aspen where she decided to move back to Charleston in the hopes of restarting her design career. While reclaiming her life, Landon can be found sailing, surfing, or sunning. Either way, she is always looking for the next adventure.
