Laura Skrip from "The First 48: Missing Persons" is one of the police detectives featured in the A&E reality series.

As a girl, Det. Laura Skrip loved mystery stories, especially Nancy Drew. Now, Skrip is a 7-year veteran of Missing Persons who solves real mysteries and saves lives doing it. "It's a great, challenging job," says Skrip. "Sometimes you don't have much to go on, but you have to find the person before something bad happens to them."

Skrip's husband is a detective on the Robbery Detail. She works night watch so she can be home to get their two children off to school in the morning. Once they are off, she then has the opportunity to indulge in her passion for running.
