LeToya Luckett stars in VH1's original movie "Drumline: A New Beat" as Dr. Nia Phillips, the beautiful, intelligent, and determined dean at Atlanta A&T with former romantic ties to Sean (Leonard Roberts). Nia's support of Sean's return to lead A&T's band proves to be difficult as the Panthers take on a rival band led by Nia's ex-huband, and Sean's brother, Kevin Taylor.

Houston native LeToya Luckett is an original member of the music group, Destiny's Child, and has enjoyed tremendous success as a solo artist. Her self-titled debut album "LeToya" was certified platinum and included the No. 1 hit "Torn" and "She Don't." She was named "One of the Best New Artists of 2006" by AOL Music and was awarded as a "Top Songwriter of 2006" by ASCAP for "Torn." Her 2009 collection, "Lady Love," debuted as the No. 1 album on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and featured the Top 10 single "Regret" with Ludacris, as well as such standout selections as "She Ain't Got…" and "Not Anymore." Additionally, "Regret" was named to AOL Music's "Top R&B Songs of 2009" and Billboard's "Top R&B Songs of 2010."

When she was only five years old, LeToya was given the opportunity to her surprise to sing her first solo in her own church. "The lady just gave me the mic one Sunday, and I sang," says LeToya, whose name is described as "victorious one." "Right after that, I joined the children's choir and started doing all the school plays. I saw that I had a love for music."

Soon after, LeToya pursued her newfound passion and became an integral member of Destiny's Child. She remained with the group for seven years and accomplished numerous successes, most notably becoming a two-time Grammy Award winner. During her stint, the group released the gold-certified singles "Bills Bills Bills" and "Say My Name," both of which LeToya co-wrote on their astonishing sophomore album, "The Writing's on the Wall," which has sold over 17 million copies worldwide.

As an actress, LeToya has played the recurring roles of Felicia Price in VH1's "Single Ladies" and Alison Myers in HBO's "Treme." She also recurred in BET's "Second Generation Wayans" and GMC's "For Richer or Poorer." On the big screen, she played the lead role in "Preacher's Kid" and was seen in "From the Rough," starring Tom Felton, Michael Clarke Duncan and Taraji P. Henson, "Killers," starring Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher.
