"Love the Way You Lie" is a series on Investigation Discovery that brings viewers real life crime stories in which the truth is disputed.

There may be two sides to every story but when it comes to murder, whose story will you believe? Inspired by the best-selling blockbuster novel, "Gone Girl," this series examines the fine line between evil and innocent — from suicides that could be staged, to murder disguised as self-defense. Filmed in a classic he said-she said style, episodes follow both versions as events in the relationship unfold simultaneously, leaving viewers to ultimately decide the truth.

Each episode follows one highly disputable real crime from dueling perspectives — those who believe the suspect is guilty, and those who proclaim the suspect's innocence — and features expert commentary from local authorities and true-crime experts, as well as first-person accounts from friends and families of the victims and suspects.

"Love the Way You Lie" is produced for Investigation Discovery by Raw TV Limited. For Raw TV, Richard Bond is executive producer. For Investigation Discovery, Diana Sperrazza is executive producer, Sara Kozak is senior vice president of production, Kevin Bennett is general manager, and Henry Schleiff is group president of Investigation Discovery, American Heroes Channel, Destination America and Discovery Fit & Health.
