Marama Corlett stars in "Sinbad" on Syfy as Rina, a skilled thief who is tough, tiny and secretive with a feral quality.

Marama Corlett was born in Malta and attended ballet school from the age of 11. She joined "Ballet Russ De Malt" run by The Olivia Dow School of Russian Ballet, a children's ballet company based in Malta and went on to play such roles as Aurora in "The Sleeping Beauty" at the age of 16 and different main roles in original ballet productions by John Baldacchino.

with people with disabilities for two years while studying evening acting classes at Masquerade Theatre Arts School in Malta. She then went on to get a three-year Dance and Drama award scholarship at a Musical Theatre School in London. Since graduating in 2008, Corlett became part of the cast in a new musical called "Valentino - Only a Man" which toured theaters in England and also showed in the West End. She made her film debut in "What a Witch" and was also seen in Lee Tamahori's "The Devil's Double," starring Dominic Cooper. In addition, she plays a servant in the upcoming production of "Maleficent," starring Angelina Jolie.

When not performing, Corlett enjoys studying languages such as Italian and Arabic, traveling and looking for good bargains at charity shops.
