Marie Avgeropoulos stars in "The 100" on The CW as Octavia Black, an illegally second-born child who grew up hidden in captivity. Octavia is an independent spirit who follows her own path.

Marie Avgeropoulos was born and raised on the shores of Lake Superior in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, eventually moving to Vancouver to pursue her dreams. While in Vancouver she booked guest star appearances on "Supernatural," "Harper's Island," "The Guard," "The Troop," "Fringe," "Eureka" and "Human Target."

She was also seen in the feature films "I Love You, Beth Cooper," starring Hayden Panettiere, and "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," starring Logan Lerman.

In 2011, Marie landed a role alongside Seth Rogan and Joseph Gordan-Levitt on the big screen in the Golden Globe Award-nominated film, "50/50." After gaining success in Vancouver, Marie decided to conquer Los Angeles, where she landed roles in various national commercial campaigns, the Lifetime movie "Walking the Halls," a guest spot on "90210" and a recurring role on MTV's "The Inbetweeners." More recently, she played the recurring role of Kirstie in The CW's drama series "Cult."
