Marlo Thomas is the narrator of Investigation Discovery's "Happily Never After," which recreates true-life tales of murders of newlyweds.

Marlo Thomas is an actress, producer and social activist who has garnered four Emmy Awards, nine Emmy nominations, a Peabody Award and a Golden Globe Award among other commendations during her illustrious career. She reteamed with Mike Nichols on Broadway in "Social Security" and has also appeared in the Broadway production of "Thieves," directed by Charles Grodin, and the Pulitzer Prize-winning revival of "The Shadow Box." She also starred in the national tour of "Six Degrees of Separation," directed by Jerry Zaks.

Thomas's feature film credits include "LOL," starring Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore, "Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo," starring Rob Schneider, Tom DiCillio's "The Real Blonde" and "In the Spirit."

Also on television Thomas created, produced and co-hosted the television specials "Free to Be ... You and Me," which received both Emmy and Peabody Awards and was accompanied by both a best-selling children's book and a record.

Thomas made her first appearance on a sitcom since "That Girl" when she appeared as Rachel's (Jennifer Aniston) mother in the hit show "Friends" and received an Emmy nomination. Thomas more recently played a recurring role in NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and made a guest appearance in ABC's "Ugly Betty."

With her family, Thomas carries on the life's work of her father, Danny Thomas, for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the institution he founded, which specializes in catastrophic diseases in children and spearheaded the conquest of childhood leukemia.

Thomas is a member of the Actor's Studio and lives in New York with her husband, Phil Donahue.
