Master Mantis from "Kung Fu Panda 2" is a character in the DreamWorks animated franchise voiced by Seth Rogen.

Master Mantis ("Kung Fu Panda") may be the smallest of The Furious Five, but he'll never admit it. The little guy has himself a textbook Napoleon complex: strong, fast, and tiny, Mantis possesses a mean temper and is more than ready to thrown down at the slightest insult.

Nothing can strike fear into his brave little heart ... that is, except a female mantis.

Mantis is an expert at acupuncture, though he experiences a bit of trouble practicing it on Po. Speaking of Po, Mantis quickly grows to like him. At one point Mantis proves his exceptional strength by holding up a dangling rope bridge with members of the Furious Five on it.

In his younger life, Mantis was extremely impatient and had a short attention span. He saw everyone around him as frustratingly slow. This got him into trouble with some bandits, though the time he spent as their captive helped him gain newfound patience, make his escape and become better at Kung Fu. Mantis offers Po moral support by mentioning that size clearly isn't important to one's ability to be successful at Kung Fu.
