Matt Long from "Sand Masters" stars in the Travel Channel reality series.

Matt Long ("Sand Masters") has sculpted sand for about 12 years, doing so professionally since 2002. A self taught artist and musician, Long has been commissioned by an array of companies and organizations to sculpt sand including, Disney, The Curacao Department of Tourism and Time Warner. One of his works was featured at the James Cohan Gallery in New York City and at the Parrish House Museum Art Gallery in South Hampton, New York. Long has sculpted sand in Rockefeller Plaza on three separate occasions. He is also a regular competitor at professional sand sculpting competitions around the US. Long recently was on the US Team at the World Championships of Sand Sculpting in September 2011 in Federal Way, Washington.

Long is also the designer of Can You Dig It Sand Tools and creator of The Can You Dig It Sand Tools Super Deluxe Sand Sculpting Kit. In 2005, Can You Dig It Sand Tools were selected by the Parent's Choice Foundation as one of the Best 25 Toys of the Last 25 Years. Can You Dig It Sand Tools sponsors numerous amateur sand sculpting contests nationally, and organizes and produces the Cape May Amateur Sand Sculpting Contest in Cape May, New Jersey.

A woodworker and restoration specialist by trade, Long also owns and operates FRW, LLC, a wood restoration company in New York City. He has carved several 9/11 memorial sculptures, including one at the site of the World Trade Center for the NYFD Tunnel, Towers Run and Freedom Flight in Long Beach, New York.
