Maxim Knight stars in "Falling Skies" on TNT as Matt Mason.
Maxim Knight has been making people smile since he was a toddler. Given a chance, he would entertain any audience with impromptu robot dances, jokes, puppet shows, songs or storytelling. Raised in Hawaii, he made the leap to Los Angeles in 2007 to pursue his dreams. So far, he's been in several award-winning shorts, a horror film shot in Romania, a western filmed in Arizona, and the feature "Ball Don't Lie," with Rosanna Arquette, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges and Nick Cannon. Knight's mature character "Sticky" portrays a young boy who is witness to his mother's suicide and has to face and ultimately triumph over life's challenges and unfair circumstances.
Knight continues to showcase his dramatic chops with numerous appearances on hit shows such as NBC's "Parenthood," ABC's "Brothers & Sisters," CBS's "Criminal Minds" and "Three Rivers" and A&E's hit "The Cleaner."
A Second City alumnus, Knight has also studied at the Young Actor Studio and the Young Actors Voiceover Workshop; his comedic strengths are undeniable. He held his own opposite comedian Frank Caliendo on TBS's "Frank TV," and has generated big laughs on HBO's "Funny or Die Presents" and Hallmark Channel's heartwarming holiday classic, "Our First Christmas," starring opposite Dixie Carter. Most recently, he brought his brand of funny to FX's "Wilfred," a remake of the critically acclaimed Australian hit.
Knight is also an accomplished voice-over artist, with credits including Columbia Pictures' "The Smurfs," Judd Apatow's "Bridesmaids," Twentieth Century Fox's "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules," and multiple episodes of Disney Channel's "Special Agent Oso" just to name a few.
A voracious reader, Maxim excels at school in the Gifted and Talented Education Program. A lively speech he gave on Disneyland earned him the school title of Toastmaster Champion and a second-place trophy in the district.
Knight currently resides in Los Angeles.
