Mia Maestro plays social chameleon Olivia in NBC's new action and adventure drama, "Crusoe." The drama is based on the classic novel by Daniel Defoe.

Mia Maestro has accrued a selection of wide ranging film credits since she made her screen debut in Carlos Saura's "Tango," which received Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for best foreign film.

In 2007, Mia Maestro completed three independent films: "The Box," starring opposite Gabrielle Union, "Visioneers," starring opposite Judy Greer and Zach Galifianakis, and "Speed of Thought," starring opposite Nick Stahl. In 2006, Mia Maestro was seen co-starring in "Poseidon" directed by Wolfgang Petersen for Warner Bros. This was a new adaptation of the classic 1972 film "The Poseidon Adventure."

Mia Maestro also appeared in the lead role in Jonathan Jakubowicz's thriller "Secuestro Express," released by Miramax. Mia Maestro reprised this role in several episodes of the critically acclaimed series "Alias" in July 2006, in which she plays Jennifer Garner's sister, Nadia Santos. She joined the cast in 2004. Mia Maestro also recently appeared in the Argentine film, "La Niña Santa" (aka "The Holy Girl"), directed by Lucrecia Martel.

In 2004, Mia Maestro appeared in the Focus Features film "The Motorcycle Diaries," (Golden Globe nominee 2005 Best Foreign Film) based on the journals of Che Guevara, leader of the Cuban Revolution.

Mia Maestro's other film credits to date include Miramax's "Frida," directed by Julie Taymor, where she starred as Cristina Kahlo; Mike Figgis' digital films "Timecode" and "Hotel"; and "For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story," where she starred opposite Andy Garcia.

Initially trained in Argentina, Mia Maestro moved to Berlin at the age of eighteen to develop a vocal repertoire of the works of Kurt Weill and Hans Eisler. Mia Maestro's first proper acting turn was in the play "The Summer Trilogy" by Carlo Goldoni, and by 1998, she secured the coveted role of 'Lulu' in Wedekind's Pandora's Box at the San Martin Theater in her hometown, Buenos Aires, Argentina. For this Mia Maestro garnered an "Ace" Award for Best New Artist of the Year.

Mia Maestro also starred in the off-Broadway play "My Life as a Fairytale," inspired by the life and works of author Hans Christian Andersen.

Mia Maestro currently resides in Los Angeles.
