Dr. Miatta R. Snetter is the Treatment Program Coordinator at the Los Angeles and West Los Angeles Veteran's Centers, where she provides post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment for veterans from various war eras, including WWII, Vietnam, Korean, Persian Gulf, Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).
Miatta Raschel Snetter currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA), where she co-chairs the "Mind-Body Project," promoting awareness within the community about the relationship between mental and physical health. She is also a professional consultant and on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit organization, Daughters of Power, Inc., which encourages underprivileged young adult women to identify and pursue their full academic, social, and spiritual potential.
She has presented to culturally diverse audiences on various clinical, academic, and interpersonal topics including adult and adolescent trauma recovery, effective psychotherapy for the treatment of PTSD, integrating spirituality and psychotherapy, as well as numerous lectures on the presentation and treatment of various clinical diagnoses.
Dr. Snetter received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, where she learned the tools to become a life-changing psychotherapist, consultant, guest lecturer, and educator.
