Michael Ian Black is the host of TBS's "Trust Me, I'm a Game Show Host" and is one of the co-hosts of National Geographic Channel's pop science series "Duck Quacks Don't Echo."

He's currently starring in two hit web series that have migrated to cable TV: "Burning Love" on E! and "You're Whole" on Adult Swim. Recent projects include the Comedy Central special "Very Famous," and a popular podcast with Tom Cavanagh called "Mike and Tom Eat Snacks."

writer, stand-up comic and filmmaker. He wrote and directed the MGM DVD release, "Wedding Daze," starring Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher. He also wrote the original screenplay for "Run, Fatboy, Run" (2008), directed by David Schwimmer and starring Simon Pegg and Thandie Newton.

Black's most recent comedy series, "Michael and Michael Have Issues," appeared on Comedy Central last year. He and Michael Showalter, with whom he worked on MTV's sketch comedy show "The State," starred in, wrote, directed and produced this comedic look at the intertwining lives of two contentious best friends.

Along with Showalter and David Wain, Black created, starred in and co-wrote the Comedy Central series, "Stella." He was one of the lead commentators on VH1's "I Love the ... " series. His writings on contemporary culture have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Wired, Filter, CMJ Magazine and McSweeney's online. He's also written three books, all released through Simon & Schuster: the memoir "You're Not Doing It Right: Tales of Marriage, Sex, Death and Other Humiliations," and "America, You Sexy Bitch" with Meghan McCain.

On the big screen, Black starred in "This Is 40," cult favorite "Wet Hot American Summer," opposite Paul Rudd and Janeane Garofalo, "Take Me Home Tonight," opposite Topher Grace, Anna Faris and Dan Fogler, "Reno 911!: Miami," "The Ten," "Partners" and "The Baxter."

Black co-created, co-wrote and starred in the acclaimed MTV sketch comedy show, "The State," which was originally a sketch comedy troupe he co-founded at New York University in 1988. Michael Ian Black then co-created, co-wrote and starred in the Comedy Central television series "Viva Variety," a fake European variety show. He was also the voice and puppeteer of the popular Pets.com sock puppet.

From there, Black appeared on several television show before landing the role of Phil Stubbs, the quirky bowling alley manager on NBC's "Ed." The show ran for almost four seasons, and Black's character was a consistent fan favorite. Black continues to appear on television regularly, with recent roles on "The Xtacles," "Reaper," "Cubed," "Mercy," "Robot Chicken," "Reno 911!" More recently, he jad a lead role in the Crackle series, "Backwash."

Michael is also a stand-up comedian, who regularly tours the country. His first album of stand-up comedy "I Am a Wonderful Man," was released in 2007, and his first book of humorous essays, "My Custom Van (and 50 Other Mind-Blowing Essays That Will Blow Your Mind All Over Face)" came out in 2008. His first children's book, "Chicken Cheeks" was released in January, 2009.

Black lives in Connecticut with his wife Martha and their two children.
