Mike Cochran from "The First 48: Missing Persons" is one of the police detectives featured in the A&E reality series.

Det. Mike Cochran came to the Chicago Police Department 15 years ago after serving in the Marine Corps. His first assignments were with Tactical Teams, including a stint with the Targeted Response Unit. "If there was a shooting, our job was to go in and suppress the violence."

Cochran made Detective six years ago and spent a year in Homicide before coming to Missing Persons. "On the homicide side, there's no personal connection to a lot of the violence that takes place. But with a missing persons case, you really get to know the family."
