"Monumental Mysteries" Season 3 is a reality series on the Travel Channel that is hosted by the network's resident history explorer Don Wildman.

The series scours the country for America's most extraordinary monuments and reveals the amazing mysteries hidden within. Just some of the tales include New York's Ellis Island, which served as a beacon of hope for the world-famous Von Trapp family of singers; a huge clock on the island of Hawaii where the hands are forever frozen in time due to the Hilo Tsunami; the Falling Star Sculpture in Alabama that commemorates the only known American to be hit by a meteorite; and Arizona's breathtaking Grand Canyon, where a newlywed couple inexplicably vanished. This series visits the statues, memorials, national parks, sculptures and gravestones that commemorate our nation's most intriguing events, notorious crimes, scandals, disasters and triumphs.

Season 2

Season 2 features more intriguing stories from one end of the U.S. to the other. They include the odd story of Seattle's colossal bronze of Communist Vladimir Lenin to the tale of the twisted sculpture of a headless chicken in Colorado. Wildman now stakes his ground on Fridays as he offers viewers historical travel trivia perfect for any social gathering. Every Friday night, Wildman searches the United States to investigate our nation's structures, statues and national parks — and tells the incredible tales surrounding them.
