Neil Maskell stars in AMC's drama series "Humans."

Born and raised in London, Neil Maskell has appeared on screen, stage and television. He recently starred in Channel 4's comedy "The Mimic" and drama "Utopia," as well as the miniseries "The Great Train Robbery" and "Privado." His television work has spanned many genres, and he has had parts in acclaimed dramas such as "Silent Witness" and "Shameless" as well as appearing in many highly regarded comedy shows, including "The Wrong Door" and "The Morgana Show."

On the big screen, he recently had a starring role in "Kill List," for which he was nominated for Best Actor by the British Independent Film Awards. Other feature film credits include "The Haunting of Harry Payne," "Open Windows," "Hyena," "The Football Factory," "Basic Instinct 2," "It's All Gone Pete Tong" and "Rise of the Footsoldier."

As well as teaching theater Maskell has appeared in many stage productions, including "Not Gods But Giants" at Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh, "Shoot," at Jermyn Street Theatre in London and "Golden Balls," at the Old Red Lion in London.

In 2010 Neil wrote and directed the short film "Shitkicker" for DP Films.
