NeNe Leakes stars in "The New Normal" on NBC as Rocky. She also plays the recurring role of Roz Washington in FOX's musical comedy series "Glee."

NeNe Leakes rose to fame as one of the housewives on the Bravo reality docu-drama series "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." She was also one of the contestants in "The Celebrity Apprentice 2011," the fourth edition of NBC's reality competition series.

With her brassy, no-nonsense demeanor and "tell-it-like-it-is" attitude, the New York native quickly

became the breakout star of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and a media darling. She was voted as one of Entertainment Weekly's Entertainers of the Year, voted by People Magazine as Diva of the Season and voted by Entertainment Weekly's PopWatch blog as one of fall's TV: 15 Stars to Watch (2008). She is also the winner of Bravo A-List Award for Fan Favorite and Reality's Guiltiest Pleasure (2009).

Leakes is the author of "Never Make the Same Mistake Twice," discussing her fractured childhood, abusive relationship, struggles with being a single mother, landing Mr. Right, and all the messy lessons she's learned along the way. The memoir is an unapologetic, yet honest look at Leakes, as she spills the dirt about her life, addressing rumors and dishing on other housewives. Still, she manages to share some hard-earned and inspiring life lessons in her fierce, no-nonsense style. In this straight-talking and provocative memoir, Leakes is outrageous, captivating, and unafraid to tell it like it is as she shares her wild journey from a scandalous past to Atlanta's high society to the pinnacle of reality television stardom.

Leakes has served as one of the guest panelists for the syndicated entertainment newsmagazine, "The Insider," produced and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. She also joined Ryan Seacrest and Guiliana Rancic for the E! network's "Live from the Red Carpet" coverage at the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in 2009. She was positioned above the action in the E! skybox alongside style expert Jay Manuel from "America's Next Top Model."

Leakes lends her time and energy, supporting various charity efforts. She is the founder of Twisted Hearts, a charity that brings awareness to the plight of domestic violence against women of all races. As a victim of domestic abuse, her mission is to offer a voice and support to assist those in need of help.

NeNe Leakes is an outspoken social butterfly who resides in the upscale Duluth area of Atlanta with her two boys, Brice and Brentt, and husband Gregg Leakes, who is a successful real estate investor and business consultant. Nene from "Real Housewives of Atlanta" donates her time to various charities and is the founder of The Twisted Hearts Foundation, which brings awareness to domestic violence against women.

NeNe continues to take the world by storm. Busy on the charity circuit preparing for her second annual event for women against domestic violence, she is also dealing with the emotional search for her biological father while taking care of her family. NeNe wrote a book on her life experiences that will be out later this year, in hopes that she can give advice to young women who face difficult issues like she did growing up. While her no-nonsense, tell-it- like-it-is approach sometimes gets her in trouble, she continues to explore her ever evolving friendships with the other housewives, with some dramatic results.

Hello NeNe I just want to start out saying I love you sweetie. You are what every woman should look at and say that is a strong black woman and she fights for hers.I admire you and pray to get my **** together so I may at least live a small portion of your life.I know I may never get to meet you, but I pray god allows our path to cross.I was with a man for 4 years and we had a house fire and he kicked me and my three babies out on the street with no where to live.I now live in Millbrook Al,but I am from Augusta Georgia,so we have something in common.I do not know if you even read this bit if you do write me an email just to say hello. My kids would go crazy you are our movie star in my house.
