Niecy Nash stars in "Leave It to Niecy," a reality docu-sitcom on TLC about her and her family. She also stars in TV Land's comedy "The Soul Man," as Lolli Ballentine, and recurs on TV Guide Network's "Hollywood Moms Night."

Nash was previously one of the celebrities featured in Season 10 of the ABC's reality ballroom dance competition "Dancing with the Stars" in 2010. She was partnered with professional dancer Louis van Amstel, who returned for his sixth season. They finished in fifth place overall.

Niecy Nash was sitting in her grandmother's living room at the tender age of five when she first witnessed an elegant black actress grace her television screen. From the sight of the luminous Lola Falana, Nash decided "That's what I'm gonna' do… be fabulous and be on TV!" And that is exactly what she has done, picking up the nickname "Lola" along the way!

Nash is living out the dream of every Hollywood actress; starring in TV successful TV projects at the same time. She was the host of The Style Network's home makeover show, "Clean House," which became the network's #1 rated program. In addition, she stars as no-nonsense Deputy Raineesha Williams on the hilarious Comedy Central hit, "Reno 911!," a half-hour unscripted spoof of "Cops." She also starred in FOX's short-lived comedy "Do Not Disturb." Her style, humor and quick wit have garnered the opportunity for her to be named the newest Correspondent on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

Though born and raised in Los Angeles, Nash has never considered herself an "L.A. girl." She is too honest and real for that stereotype. After spending much of her childhood in St. Louis, she returned to Los Angeles at the age of eight, with her future already determined and the quest to become a performer dominating her life.

Nash completed her education at California State University Dominguez Hills, where she majored in theater. She graduated with a B.A., a husband, a baby… and a mission! Determined to make a name for herself, she made the fateful decision to call a casting director she had auditioned for months earlier. When he answered the phone she said, "I don't know if you remember me. I'm Niecy Nash, I'm broke, I've got a baby, and I need a job." He told her to come down to his office and audition for his new movie. Needless to say, she blew him away and landed her first paid acting gig in a scene opposite Whoopi Goldberg in the feature film, "Boys On the Side."

Since that significant day, Nash has turned in stunning performances in several feature films. Her credits include Robert Altman's "Cookie's Fortune," opposite Glenn Close, Julianne Moore and Liv Tyler; "The Bachelor" with Chris O'Donnell; and "Malibu's Most Wanted," alongside Jamie Kennedy, Anthony Anderson and Taye Diggs. Nash was featured in the movies, "Code Name: The Cleaner," opposite Cedric the Entertainer and Lucy Liu, and "Guess Who," opposite Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher. More recently, Nash appeared in the Sony feature film, "Not Easily Broken," based on the best-selling book by Bishop T.D. Jakes, and co-starred in two Disney projects: "G-Force," produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and "The Proposal," opposite Sandra Bullock.

Nash's style, humor and quick wit garnered her a stint as a correspondent on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Additional television credits include a recurring role on "The Bernie Mac Show" as "Benita," the uproarious baby sister. Other roles include "Presidio Med," "That's Life," "Popular" and "City of Angels." She has had guest-starring roles on "My Name Is Earl," "Monk," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Girlfriends," "NYPD Blue," "That's So Raven," "One on One," "Judging Amy" and "Reba."

Nash made her animated series debut on "Kid Notorious" and was lauded for her voice work as "Tollie Mae" on the series. She has gone on to lend her distinctive voice to characters on the animated series "The Boondocks" and "Minoriteam," and recently starred as the voice of "Mrs. Boots" on the animated series "Slacker Cats." She also voices the character of "Miss Yelp" in the animated feature "Horton Hears a Who" with Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell.

In 2007, Nash was named a recipient of the National Woman in the Arts Award from the St. Louis Grand Center. She is not only a successful actress, but is also a mother. Her three children have been included in every step of her struggle in show business and have accompanied her on countless auditions and callbacks. She proudly identifies motherhood as her greatest success in life.

Nash is developing various television and film projects through her own production company, Next In Line. In her spare time, she is devoted to her church and participates in charitable functions that support causes close to her heart, including HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness, breast cancer, school violence and domestic abuse.

Nash lives in Los Angeles with her family.
