Orlando Martinez from "Cold Justice" is one of the detectives featured in the TNT reality series.

Orlando Martinez was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Southern California. At a young age, his best friend's father, who was a police officer, inspired him. Orlando admired his friend's father so much, that there was a never a question of what career path Orlando would follow.

The only active detective on the "Cold Justice" team, Orlando has been a sworn officer for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for over eighteen years. He spent his first five years with LAPD in uniformed field investigation as well as specialized units such as gang suppression (CRASH), Narcotics Division Field Enforcement Section (FES), an auto theft task force, a bicycle detail and Special Problems Unit.

He started working in Homicide over 13 years ago. He is currently assigned to Robbery-Homicide Division, Homicide Special Section. The Homicide Special Section is responsible for investigating homicides involving multiple victims, serial killers, high-profile homicides, and homicide-involving arson.

Orlando's specialties include case biopsies, interviews, and the application of modern tech advances to cases. He loves working in homicide, as it a way to bring closure to families of lost loved ones. "Helping others is what I love to do," says Orlando.
