"Pair of Kings" (TV show) on Disney XD is an Emmy-nominated live-action comedy series that follows fraternal twins, Brady and Boomer, who lead a typical teenage life while being raised by their aunt and uncle in Chicago, but unbeknownst to them, they're successors to the throne of the island of Kinkow. Their lives change drastically when Mason the Royal Advisor arrives at their high school to inform the boys of their extraordinary lineage. So, Brady and Boomer relocate to the island to claim their
With great power comes great responsibility for underdogs Brady and Boomer as they learn to work together, face challenges and become great leaders. Brady is the responsible twin, but is easily frazzled. He can be brave when he needs to be and is eager to prove that he is worthy of his new royal status. Boomer is the overly confident twin who often doesn't think before he acts. A people person, he prefers to goof around and doesn't take the role of king as seriously as Brady.
Kinkow is multi-cultural society, home to many quirky inhabitants. The isle's mysterious powers are ever-evolving and unpredictable. As the new young Kings explore the island's beaches, jungles, underground caves and ruins, they quickly learn that one wrong step could wake a volcano or vengeful mummy.
The Kings go through the rites of passage of typical teenagers, yet they have the responsibility of ruling a strange island nation to complicate their ride. They struggle to earn the respect of the islanders, participate in island customs, try to meet girls, learn to drive, play in unique island sport competitions and try not to embarrass themselves. Often distracted from their royal duties, Brady and Boomer enjoy playing pranks throughout the kingdom.
Brady and Boomer rely on their new island friends for guidance in ruling the island. Their efforts are helped and hindered by Mason, the intimidating royal guard; Mikayla, Mason's adorable daughter and assistant to the kings; and Lanny, their disgruntled cousin and wannabe king, who's out to sabotage them and steal the throne. Mason, Mikayla and Lanny become Brady and Boomer's Kinkow family, nurturing, supporting and antagonizing them along the way.
Starring are Mitchel Musso ("Hannah Montana," "Phineas and Ferb") as Brady, Doc Shaw ("The Suite Life on Deck," "Tyler Perry's House of Payne") as Boomer, Kelsey Chow (Disney Channel's "Den Brother," "One Tree Hill") as Mikayla, Ryan Ochoa (Disney's "A Christmas Carol") as Lanny, Geno Segers (touring production of Disney's "The Lion King") as Mason.
