Pasha Lychnikoff, who's also known as Pavel Lychnikoff, stars in "Bent" on NBC. The romantic comedy follows a divorced, type A woman (Amanda Peet), who struggles not to fall in love with a surfer-dude contractor she hires to redo her kitchen.

Born in Moscow, Pasha Lychnikoff trained at the Moscow Academy of Dramatic Arts. He performed on stage in Russia before moving to the United States in the early 1990s to pursue a serious acting career.

spots during his early years in America. A turning point in his career arrived when he landed a guest role on "NYPD Blue." Following this, he began getting more work. And David Milch, the creator of "NYPD Blue," would go on to cast Lychnikoff in major roles in two more of his projects: his short-lived series "Big Apple" and the seminal HBO drama "Deadwood." He starred in seasons two and three of "Deadwood," portraying a telegraph operator who serves as an intermediary between several different spheres of power and influence.

Lychnikoff's numerous other television credits include "Alias," "Without a Trace," "CSI: Miami," "She Spies," "The Shield," "CSI: NY," "Chuck," "My Own Worst Enemy," "Leverage," "Lie to Me," "Law & Order: SVU," "The Defenders," and "Undercovers."

On the big screen, Lychnikoff has appeared in a wide array of films, including "Star Trek," "Cloverfield," "Reservations," "Charlie Wilson's War" and "Miami Vice," among others.
