Patina Miller stars in "Madam Secretary" on CBS as Daisy Finch.

Patina Miller is best known for her stage work. She received rave reviews – and a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical – for her performance as the iconic Leading Player in the Broadway revival of "Pippin." She previously played Deloris Van Cartier in the Broadway production of "Sister Act," earning Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance. She originated the role in the West End production of the show, where she received an Olivier Award nomination and a WhatsOnStage.com Theatregoers' Choice Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

Miller has performed off-Broadway in "Lost in the Stars" at Encores!, "Hair" at Public Theater, and "Romantic Poetry" at Manhattan Theatre Club. Regional credits include "First You Dream" at the Kennedy Center, "Sister Act" at both Alliance Theatre and Pasadena Playhouse, and "Being Alive" with the Philadelphia Theater Company. Workshops include "Book of Mormon," "Nightingale" and "American Idiot."

On television, Miller played the recurring role of Pam Henderson in the daytime soap opera "All My Children." On the big screen, she can be seen in the role of Commander Paylor in both Parts 1 and 2 of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay."

Miller received a degree in musical theater from Carnegie Mellon University.
