Paul Downs stars in "Broad City" on Comedy Central.

Paul Downs is an actor, writer and comedian. In 2011 he was named one of Backstage's "10 to Watch," Funny or Die and Splashlife's "30 Under 30," and "Best Emerging Comic" at the Excellence In Comedy (ECNY) Awards. A member of former United Citizens Brigade (UCB) Harold Teams Whorenado and Penthouse Riot, Downs makes digital shorts and other weird things with Lucia Aniello under the name Paulilu.

Paulilu's latest weird thing, "The Paul Downs Syndrome," is a solo sketch show that was a "Best of NY Sketch" in the 2010 New York Comedy Festival, a TONY Critic's Pick, and an ECNY nominee for Best Solo Show. In the 2009 NYCF, Downs was a featured performer in the Time Out New York Approved Showcase.

At UCB, Downs has also been a guest improviser in "The Soundtrack" and with UCB House Team MOTHER. He has also appeared in "Comedy Death Ray," "Beneath Gristedes," "The High School Talent Show" and "CINNABONANZA!," among others.

On-screen credits include MTVs "The College Humor Show," MTVs "Damiens Other Show" and "All My Children."

A graduate of Duke University, Downs studied theater and was a member of Duke University Improv (D.U.I.) and sketch group Inside Joke.
