Dr. Pepper Schwartz from "Married at First Sight" is the expert sociologist in the FYI reality series.

Dr. Pepper Schwartz is Professor of Sociology at the University of Washington. She received her B.A. and M.A, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University in St. Louis and her Masters of Philosophy and Ph.D. in Sociology from Yale University.

She is also the author of over 50 academic articles on intimate relationships, marriage, love, and sex and is the national Love, Sex and Relationship Ambassador for the AARP and writes the column The Naked Truth (AARP.org /Naked Truth).

Schwartz is presently the Chair of the Advisory Committee for the Ph.D in sexuality studies at the Institute for Integral Studies in San Francisco. She is also Chairperson of the Intimacy and Aging study group at Stanford University's Center for the Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences as well as a senior fellow and board member of the Council on the Contemporary Family. 

Schwartz has earned awards for excellence in education from the Washington State Women's Forum, the American Sociological Association for Public Understanding of Sociology and the Simon and Gagnon Award for Sexuality Studies.

She currently resides in the Seattle, Washington, area on a horse farm with her family.
