Pete Gardner stars in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" on The CW as Darryl Whitefeather, Rebecca's (Rachel Bloom) boss at a West Covina law firm. Darryl grew up in Orange County and considers himself very cultured and intellectual, a cut above the usual West Covina resident. He loves Rebecca because she is smart and well-educated, and he thinks she gives his firm instant credibility.

Pete Gardner was born and raised in Scarsdale, New York. He went to college at Skidmore in Saratoga Springs, New York. In 1986, Gardner moved to Chicago to pursue improv. He studied at Improv Olympic with Del Close and was on a house team there for many years. Gardner later began directing at Second City.

Gardner has appeared in numerous film and television shows. He recurred on the television comedy "The Brink" alongside Jack Black and Tim Robbins and was seen in "Masters of Sex," "1600 Penn," "Full Circle" and recently finished his third season of "Eagleheart" with Chris Elliott. Other television credits include "Psych," "Perception," "Workaholics," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Bones," "My Boys," "Boston Legal," "CSI: New York," "Cold Case," "Malcolm in the Middle" and "The Bernie Mac Show."

Gardner's feature films credits include "Father Eddie," "Deadly Retreat," "Oliver Stoned," "Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant," "Project X," "The Hangover: Unrated Version," "Labor Pains," "Fun with Dick and Jane," "Wish You Were Dead," "Evan Almighty," "Good Advice," "Transformers," "Love Shack" and Michael Radford's improvised film, "Dancing at the Blue Iguana."

Gardner lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
