Peter Dinklage stars in "Game of Thrones" on HBO as Tyrion Lannister.

Peter Dinklage began his film career in 1994 with Tom DiCillo's "Living in Oblivion." Since then Dinklage has appeared in numerous films including Michel Gondry's "Human Nature," opposite Tim Robbins and Rosie Perez, John Hamburg's "Safe Men," Julien Temple's "Bullet," Eric Schaffer's "Never Again," and Fisher Stevens' "Just a Kiss." Dinklage also appeared opposite Will Ferrell in Jon Favreau's "Elf," Alexandre Rockwell's "13 Moons," opposite Steve Buscemi, Matthew Bright's "Tiptoes," opposite Gary Oldman and Patricia Arquette, and the independent features "Fortunes" and "The Escape Artist." Most recently Dinklage starred in the independent film "Pete Smalls Is Dead" and was seen in "Death at a Funeral," starring Martin Lawrence and Chris Rock, and "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," as Trumpkin

Television credits include a starring role as Arthur Ramsey in CBS's "Threshold," a recurring role as Marlowe Sawyer on FX's "Nip/Tuck" and appearances in "30 Rock," "Life as We Know It," "Third Watch" and "Oz."

Dinklage has appeared in many New York theatrical productions including Lincoln Center's "Toulouse Lautrec," Patrick Breen's "Marking," Brandon Cole's "Imperfect Love," Jonathan Marc Sherman's "Evolution," Marc Spitz's "I Wanna Be Adored," as well as working with Mabou Mine's Lee Breuer in a production of Ibsen's "A Doll's House" at New York Theater Workshop.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Peter attended Bennington College in Vermont where he received a BA degree in drama and the Libby Zion Award for Dramatic Excellence. He also attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and the Welsh School of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales.
