Peter Firth stars opposite Cynthia Nixon in Starz' epic miniseries "World Without End," based upon the global bestseller by Ken Follett, as Earl Roland.

Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Peter Firth has performed in an enormous number of film, television and theater productions. He drew critical acclaim as well as an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe award for his riveting performance in Sidney Lumet's "Equus." Other film credits include "Hawking" for BBC, "Pearl Harbor," directed by Michael Bay for Touchstone Pictures, "Amistad," directed by Steven Spielberg, "Shadowlands," directed by Richard Attenborough and "The Hunt for Red October," starring Sean Connery and directed by John McTiernan.

On television, Firth led a stellar cast for all nine seasons of the critically acclaimed series "MI-5" for BBC. He has appeared in many other television productions including "South Riding" for BBC and "Law & Order: SUV" for NBC.

Amongst Firth's theater credits are the Broadway production of "Amadeus," directed by Peter Hall and "Equus," directed by John Dexter for which Firth won the coveted Tony Award as Best Actor.
