Peter Guinness stars in "The Bible" miniseries on History Channel.

A doyen of Shakespearean theater, Peter Guinness has also been a prominent character actor in film and television for almost 30 years. Co-starring in David Fincher's sci-fi blockbuster "Alien 3" in 1992, Guinness went on to play Perez alongside Marlon Brando in "Christopher Columbus: The Discovery," and Johnny Depp's father Lord Crane in Tim Burton's "Sleepy Hollow." Guinness also stars in "Greenfingers" with Helen Mirren and Clive Owen, "The Saint," opposite Val Kilmer, Vadim Jean's "The Hogfather," and Neil Marshall's "Centurion," starring Michael Fassbender and Dominic West.

On UK television, Guinness starred in "Hidden" and "Red Cap" and has had recurring roles in "The Bill," "Sea of Souls" and "Coronation Street." He also provided the voice of Mister Dread in "Doctor Who: Dreamland" and was seen in the miniseries "Ivanhoe" and "Smokescreen."
