Pixie Lott stars in "Fred: The Movie" on Nickelodeon as Judy, Fred Figglehorn's long time object of affection.
A platinum recording artist in her native England, Pixie Lott's debut single "Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)" was released in June 2009 and went straight to number one on the UK Singles Chart. Her debut album "Turn It Up" was released in September 2009, reaching number six on the UK Albums Chart, spawned five consecutive Top 20 singles and was certified platinum.
Born in Bromley, south east
When she was 14, Lott spotted and answered a classified ad that set her career in motion and took her to New York City to where she began writing and recording demos. After posting several demos on her My Space page, her music was discovered by various record label reps and a bidding war broke that settled with her signing with Mercury Records in the UK and Interscope in the U.S. The results are songs that run the gamut of emotions—with lyrics about hearts skipping and hearts breaking.
Recognized internationally for her musical accomplishments, Lott is the recipient of a Cosmopolitan 2009 Ultimate Women Award for Ultimate Newcomer. Also in 2009, she won The Caron Keating Breakthrough Talent Award at The Variety Club Awards. She was also nominated for British Breakthrough Act, British Female Solo Artist and British Single at the 2010 BRIT Awards.
Lott recently opened for Rihanna during her Last Girl on Earth Tour in the UK in May and will be performing on the main stage at the UK's V Festival in August 2010.

London, Lott's mother gave her the nickname Pixie because she was such a tiny, fairly-like baby. She started singing in her church school and later was awarded a scholarship at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. The scholarship allowed her to pursue her singing and dancing dreams and opened doors to an oddly diverse range of opportunities, from West End appearances in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" to recording with Pink Floyd's Roger Waters.
